Aruba
| Aruba is located in the West
Indies, in the Caribbean Sea, near the Paraguana Peninsula of Venezuela.
The island, one of the Lesser Antilles islands, was granted home rule by
the Netherlands in 1986 . The island is about 19 miles long and 5 miles
wide. Tourism and the refining of crude oil, whish is imported from Venezuela,
are the chief industries.
The population of Aruba was approximately 62,500
in 1988.
